James was my husband’s Best Man. I met him very soon after meeting Simon, because they were about as close to brothers from different mothers as you can get. I’m surprised James accepted me given the way I ruined the rock climbing dynamic they had going on, but even hundreds of metres off the ground, he still jokes around with me. Maybe its because he worked in the same office as my Mum and was worried about the politics – we were just destined to meet.

Part of James belongs to Louise. Simon would argue that James belongs to him, and Louise has had to share him. I have a feeling that when this bump arrives, Simon might move a little further down the love list.

So after climbing trips and their wedding and BBQs and our wedding, here we are in their backyard, awaiting the next member of the gang… I’m actually writing this after Bump’s birth day so I know what happened next. Read on after the photos to find out.
