The Prime Minister and The President

Late last year, a series of events occurred that resulted in me being given White House clearance and the chance to photograph President Obama and Prime Minister Gillard’s presented to troops on base in Darwin, Northern Territory. Without doubt a highlight of the year, the day was long but the experience was amazing, and probably a once-in-a-lifetime gig.

Caught up in the hustle on the press riser, I stood shoulder to shoulder with some very hard-working press photographers and news crews and felt very, very lucky to be inside that hangar, on the base, on that day.
